Emily Storch
Art Educator
Biography
In the year 2007 I got bitten by the Art Teaching Bug. I was 23 years old, fresh out of my BFA program, and working on a mural with local teens in Cincinnati. I was a "Junior Teacher" tasked with helping the teens with painting technique and work ethic. When I saw how easily the kids picked up on my teaching and how positively they responded, I realized I had found something I was good at for the first time. A marketable skill that I enjoyed immensely. Since then, I have taught in many capacities from community centers to public schools, receiving a Master of Arts in Art Education degree in 2011 from the University of Cincinnati. Currently I reside in Lexington, Kentucky and teach high school art at the wonderful Paul Laurence Dunbar High School.
